Over New Years weekend 2006, We decided to head up to Hearst Castle to see elephant seals. On our way up, we stopped in Santa Barbara and checked out the Chumash Painted Cave. There are basically two areas of artwork, and you can see the overlapping part in the photos (since I couldn't get all of it in one shot). We had to take a super windy road to reach it, and it was gated off with just a small hole to look through. We thought it was pretty cool though.
