This is from the courtyard of our first bed & breakfast, Casa Esperanza. Many of the houses in Merida had rather ugly grey walls from the street and you couldn't see inside at all. Then you step in and it's a gorgeous compound with many cottages and beautiful lush landscaping. And lots of fruit trees :)
